I am an Associate Fellow, and Chartered Psychologist and Chartered Scientist, with the British Psychological Society (registration number 84502) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (registration number PYL15678) as a Practitioner Psychologist, both as a Clinical Psychologist and as a Forensic Psychologist. I am highly experienced in the provision of assessments and reports within the areas of criminal and family law, to people aged 16 years and older, and have worked with complex cases throughout my career.
I pride myself on providing a highly professional, efficient, specialist and prompt service and in meeting deadlines. Publicly funded instructions are welcomed, as well as those that are non-publicly funded.
I have extensive experience in providing expert witness oral evidence in court regarding criminal and family law cases for all parties. I have also undertaken the Bond Solon Courtroom Skills training course.
Areas of expertise include assessment of IQ/cognitive functioning, mental capacity, fitness to plead, diagnosis of a learning (intellectual) disability, suggestibility, malingering, personality, mental health, substance misuse, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, risk of offending and impact of offending on victims. I also undertake assessments for the family courts, this further addressing parenting risks, domestic abuse, insight, motivation to work with professionals, treatability and prognosis, as well as capacity to meaningfully engage in court proceedings.
